BIRTHDAY AND ANNIVERSARIES LUNCHEON
We are having a Change! Instead of breakfast on the 4th Monday, the Committee decided at its meeting on 17 October to have lunch at the Nobby’s Beach SLSC. The SLSC is located on the beach (of course ) at the Cnr of Lavarack Rd and Albatross Ave. Entry is on left side of building and there is a lift in the foyer to take you to the 1st floor . Seating has been arranged at the ocean end on the south side with views to Coolangatta. For those with an Aged Pension Card a choice of lunches for $6.50 (now $7.50) is available. These meals have been “road tested” by a few members recently. Verdict- great! See menu under “Latest News” on this website.Only on Mondays, a roast lunch is also available for the $6.50 ($7.50). An A”la Carte menu is available.Suggest arrive 11.30 am to get a carpark – carparking on north side of clubhouse and on south side in Lavarack Rd near beach end . Lunch commences at 12 noon . Come along and celebrate Birthdays, Anniversaries etc with fellow members.

MONTHLY MEETING LUNCH
The President met with the Manager & chef at the Sports Club on 11 Feb. The number system for meals will be replaced by a descriptive ticket,e.g. STEAK VEG & PEPPER- which is still to be placed in front of you at the table. Those PAYING BY CASH are to pay at the cash register AT THE KITCHEN. Those PAYING BY CARD are to pay at the cash register AT THE COFFEE BAR. You still need to know your table number before paying. Hopefully this may assist in speeding up the process. NEWS FLASH- Check out the new menu
